  • As a result of my lack of blogging I have been VERY successful “catching up”!!! Yeah! The new 2010-2011 Senior Brochure is at the printers and man does it ROCK! Thanks to the Class of 2009 for letting me use your images. If I didn’t use your image in the brochure, I’ll be using it in other promotional pieces. I’ve also been asked by a Photoshop Wizard who creates templates for Professional Photographers around the world, to use my images in her promotional pieces. She has chosen several of my children’s portraits to be used. What an honor and what fun! My TU TU promotion is next week already and I do still have a very few openings. I can hardly wait. This past week I had the opportunity to ROCK with SLOANNE….wow! What a card. She is such a uniquely spirited child who will go so far in this world with a mom who let’s her be whomever she wants to be! What a gift she is! Thanks Sloanne and Jen!

  • I’m soooo ready to play.  Desta and Addie came yesterday and we tested out the new Tu Tu’s Rita made for me for my upcoming event…Dawn want’s to play because your “TU TU CUTE”!  I’m planning it for the middle of March but haven’t officially set the dates yet.  The Tu Tu’s worked wonderfully…headbands were a bit of a challenge but I’ll work on that.  If anybody has ideas on how to keep them on let me know!  Addie was a trooper and let me get 3 changes before drawing the line, however, as you can see by my video on facebook (hopefully here as soon as the Animoto guys get it uploaded), like the cookie bake it only got better as the session progressed.  I think I’ll run 45 minute sessions and we’ll do the presentation/order on a separate date…perhaps with no kids and wine?  I’m waiting for my 2nd little model to come but haven’t been able to get ahold of her mom so we’ll see.  It’s been a really crazy week here personally so I haven’t had much free time.  Our lives are forever changed as each day passes and I know I say it EVER SINGLE DAY  but I am so truly blessed to be able to look into the eyes of a child and they’re parents and know that this moment will forever be…

  • Welcome ANIKA!!!!  What a joy it’s been to be able to photograph this family.  I met them 2 years ago and have felt so much a part of their family.  I’m so touched that they continue to have me as their family photographer to capture these moments in time!  It’s been a busy 2 weeks here with lots of babies.  If you don’t see your baby/tots here please don’t feel badly.  I just haven’t had the time to upload them all.  I’m working on it.  Stay warm!  I hear this may be the last of the sub zero temps!!!!HORRAY!

  • WINTER FUN!!!

Already January and I continue to fail at my blogging abilities….  I had the opportunity to go to Phoenix for 1 week for PPA Imaging USA and had the most AMAZING experience.  Not only did I meet some really cool photographers (Audra, Penny, Josie) but was touched forever by the 2 hour program presented by ANNE GEDDES!  It reinforced my love of children and teens as well as my belief in what I do and how it touches each of my clients.  The winter weather may be getting the best of us with the cold frigid temps, the economy is stressed and we are grasping on to whatever we can to make us feel good-  OUR FAMILIES.  I’m so blessed and grateful that you continue to allow me to  capture the moments you bring to me so that you can forever treasure the laughs and giggles as well as the innocence and rebelliousness of your babies, families and  Senior Graduate.   Each of my young subjects bring me renewed hope and my elderly clients bring to me such security.  I am truly blessed because of each of you.

Now on to the real fun!  Photographing!  I had the great joy of a TRUE MINNESOTA SENIOR GIRL!!!! She was quite the trooper, inspite of the frigid temps and waist deep snow as she realized that I do not only take one shot…ha ha!  She did whatever I asked as  her dad watched and yes helped me dig myself out of the snowbank I fell flat on my face in…sparing the camera of coarse!   Note to the Class of 2010…DO WINTER SHOTS!!!! They are soooooooo cool! (No pun intended
